Giving back to our community has always been something that’s important to us and an integral part of CardFlight’s culture. We were very privileged and really glad to have had the opportunity to help make sandwiches for our friends at the Bowery Mission.
Last week, our NYC office traded an hour of their after-office hours to help make 271 PB&Js for the less fortunate at Bowery Mission, a local shelter. The Bowery Mission has served homeless and hungry New Yorkers since 1879. Last year, The Bowery Mission provided more than 653,500 warm meals, 167,300 nights of shelter, distributed 46,380 articles of clothing, offered 13,300 showers and 1,300 onsite medical, dental and optometry exams. Learn more about how they help here.
Led and organized by Neha, our finance associate, we transformed our office into a mini PB&J manufacturing factory. With all hands on deck, our team of 20 managed to whip up 271 sandwiches within the hour. All sandwiches were then hand-packed and delivered to Bowery Mission.
CardFlight is proud to be a part of the New York community, and can’t wait to be able to give a little back to our city again!
P.S. We were all certified PB&Js makers by the end of the night.
